ARTIST'S STATEMENT

I have been a fortunate person living in an atmosphere of love and beauty. Everything I see and feel around me is a prospective painting. I aspire to transport the viewers to wonder and know more of the ambient of peace, serenity and beauty of the people, landscapes and traditions of Puerto Rico.

I am convinced that besides decorating the home and office, my paintingsare "Healthy for the Soul". They enrich peoples lives because I capture and describe common situations of daily life, that makes you feel well, relaxed and happy.

I prefer scenes pleasing to the eye, treat ordinary scenes with courtesy and grace. I endow my subjects with dignity of personage, with a touch of elegance, grace and poetic qualities: a child or adult, rich or poor, perishing flowers, extinguished light, old house, building, boats or pets. I respect everything around me and look for its positive aspect. My themes are estethically pleasing and fresh; emotionally joyful and clear; technically convincing and realistic.

Hanged on the walls, the framed paintings, resemble an opened window to the tropical colors that reflect the enchantments of Puerto Rico. Besides my satisfaction, I create museum quality paintings, so they deserve the wise inversion of art collectors and for the enjoyment of future generations.
